Categories: our work

This SISWP Educate, Exchange Connection Program 2013 is the initiative of SISWP President Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam. Sharon Saw from SIPJ was very privileged to be one of four ambassadors chosen from Malaysia. She represents SI Petaling Jaya and will be visiting SI Wellington and three other clubs in that region.

The other three ambassadors are Shamala Ramasamy, SI Bangsar, going to SI Port Moresby, Nicole Tan, Immediate Past President of SI Seremban, who will be going to SI Auckland, and Karen Chan, President of SI Penang, who will be going to SI Melbourne.

The programme begins on 3 October, with a dinner to celebrate Soroptimist Friendship night at Puan Sri Siew Yong’s home. All Ambassadors from SISWP countries will converge in Malaysia for a few days before leaving for our respective countries. A HUGE hank you to Puan Sri Siew Yong and Joyce Kee for coordinating and managing this mammoth task!

To kick it off, on 22 September, the four ambassadors gave short presentations to the SIROM council and received plaques of congratulations.
