Day 5 was the first day of Cycle 2 – Soroptimists Empower! As always, the morning was packed with gainful knowledge and exciting experiential learning! Expert trainer, the dynamic Ang Ming Ern, taught the participants fantastic problem solving and critical thinking skills. He was assisted by Malgorzata Grabarczyk (Personal Empowerment & Business Coach) for Group Activities.
In the afternoon, SIPJ’s newest member and expert trainer, Sheela Chandran, led an amazing session where the participants were challenged to use their newly acquired skills from the morning into action. With the theme of Working in Teams Everybody Wins!, Sheela Chandran, who is the CEO/Trainer of Starfire Talent Development, and her team of coaches, brought experiential learning to new heights. The participants learned empowering lessons on how to work together as a team through processes of self-discovery.
We also had a new volunteer with us, Emma Harris, who is a friend of Belinda Campbell from SI Auckland. She stayed for the whole day and also coached one of the teams during the afternoon session. It was great to have her on board.
