Day 9 saw Mike Farrance, manager from Hays Specialist Recruitment, who shared with the participants about improving their resume and how to ace that job interview.
On the morning of Day 10, Lavinie Thiruchelvam of babydash.com.my explained about internet-based startups and shared her success story and journey. Lavinie is the daughter of SIPJ Hon. Secretary, Premila Thiruchelvam, and Lavinie gave the participants great insight to setting up her business.
In the afternoon of Day 10, Mr Letchumanan Subramanian, a Business Coach and Management Trainer, conducted a hands-on exercise on business development, focusing on business proposals and plans complete with a Bollywood wake up dance exercise (a novel idea)!
Day 11 focused on entrepreneurship, with sharings from prominent entrepreneurs. The day began with Mr Vincent Xu, CEO and Founder of several companies including UniDigest. He gave a great presentation on technology-based entrepreneurship and social media tools.
Mr Puvanesan Subenthiran, Group CEO of Privasia Technology Berhad then shared critical information on what it takes to excel as a corporate executive and also as an entrepreneur.
Mr Kenneth Tan Founder of JkBrands provided a lively fun session on “Creativity and Innovation in Business” to enable participants to develop their own unique brand.
Finally, Mr Roen Cian Nagapan, a young Entrepreneur Extraordinaire with F&B Lifestyle and Sporting outlets gave insights into all things savvy and novel about succeeding at food & beverages, lifestyle and hospitality businesses.
Ms Janice Kwok gave a session on “Winning at Sales & Marketing” as well as guiding the participants on improving their projects for the finale showcase on 9 May.
