SPOT Mini Talk in SK Abdul Samat, Kapar

A SPOT mini talk in SK Abdul Samat in Kapar was carried out today, on 13 November 2017, at 0900-1015 by SPOT lead Siti Aishah Hassan Hasri and SPOT volunteer Bull. Sekolah Kebangsaan Abdul Samat, Kapar, was contacted through MCII and the teacher in charge was PK HEM, Mr Jeshwant Singh.

The talk was given to 108 girls, aged 10-12, including eight special needs children. They were joined by two teachers, including the school counsellor Puan Nik Namidah. The girls were very enthusiastic and responded wonderfully – they seem to have a very supportive school counsellor who takes them seriously, which is fantastic.

The feedback from the students showed that they learnt most about good touch bad touch and sexual offences according to Malaysian law. They also understood how important self worth and positive values are – to respect oneself first, so others would respect them.

SIPJ was very pleased to see the appreciation of SPOT when the counsellor requested for a SPOT PuberTeen Workshop next year, sometime in February to March 2018.
